MCX Academia of Economic Research in association with CarbonYatra.com organized a one-day workshop on Carbon Credits in Mumbai on January 18, 2008. The workshop—the first after the Bali meet of UNFCCC—was a thumping success. The response, lukewarm at first, gathered momentum to such an extent that the venue was filled to capacity. You could see people trooping into the hall, well past noon. The response reflected the dramatic change in people’s perception about Carbon Credits in the country, when even two years ago there were no takers for such workshops and seminars on the subject.
