Guidelines for authors
who wish to make submissions to the journal.
Articles
Commodity Vision welcomes original research
papers on commodities.
- Articles should not be more than 3,000 words,
including notes and references. Longer articles,
though not usually entertained, will be processed
on the basis of merit and editorial discretion.
Contributors have to apply for editorial consent
for processing of longer articles.
- Contributions should be sent in both, a hard
copy format and a soft copy floppy/CD version.
The soft copy can also be sent by e-mail. Hard
and soft copy versions of articles are essential
for processing.
- Special articles should be accompanied by an
abstract of a maximum of 200 words.
- Articles should not be simultaneously submitted
for publication to another journal or newspaper.
Do not send a different version of an article
that has appeared earlier.
- Contributors who use a large number of graphs
and charts in their articles should prepare these
in MS Office (Word/Excel) or send high res images
with the Excel sheet.
- Contributors can send in relevant hi res images
(300 dpi in jpeg or tif format) or prints to
accompany their articles.
- Receipt of articles will be immediately
acknowledged by e-mail or post.
- Every effort will be taken to complete the
early processing of the articles we receive.
However, it can take up to six months to arrive
at a final decision on whether the paper will
be accepted for publication.
- Once the article is accepted for publication
it can take up to six months from the date of
acceptance to appear in the journal.
Every effort will be made to ensure early publication.
However, please note that this is a matter of
editorial judgement.
Book Reviews
Commodity Vision sends out books for review. It does not normally accept unsolicited reviews. However, all reviews that are received are read with interest and where a book has not been sent out for review, the unsolicited review is on occasion considered for publication.
Letters
Readers of Commodity Vision can send comments and suggestions (300-400 words) on published articles to the Letters column. All letters should have the writer's full name and postal address. They can also submit their comments on the Web site in the Editor's page
General Guidelines
- Writers are requested to provide full details
for correspondence: postal address, day-time
phone numbers, and e-mail address.
(The e-mail address of writers will be published
at the end of the article.)
- Authors are requested to prepare their soft
copy versions in text format. PDF versions will
not be accepted. Authors should use UK English

Language menu of the application).
- Contributors are requested to send articles
that are complete in all respects, including
references, as this facilitates quick processing.
- When there are major developments in the field
of study after the first submission, authors
can send a revised version. However, Commodity
Vision, requests writers not to send revised versions based on stylistic changes or additions, deletions of references, minor changes, etc., as these pose processing challenges. Such revised versions will not be processed.
